The Role
We at Cloudist are looking for an experienced, driven and independent Software Engineer to join our journey building green clouds. Our product is built to help our customers manage their IT services (S3, Virtual Machines and so on), designed from the ground up to enable end users to provision what they need, when they need it, in certified green data centers.
The Team
You’ll be an integral part of a small Engineering team who’s building a scalable and flexible platform for managing IT services. You’ll be working most closely with the other engineers in the team, but also with colleagues responsible for operations and sales, to design, develop and deliver our platform. The company is based in Gamla Väster, as centrally located as you can be in Malmö, a literal stone’s throw from Lilla Torg.
Task and Responsibilities
Feature Development – designing and building our upcoming new large initiatives, as well as working iteratively by incrementing the feature set of our current services.
Architecture Improvement – as the team grows and product scales, we need to make sure our future product will be ready for the future using patterns and practices that fit our environment.
Quality – ensuring we build a product that’s fit for use, solving our customers’ problems without annoyances.
Security – building a system that fulfils best practices within secure programming.
Requirements
This is an important role for us. While we can budge on a few of these requirements, you would probably have another “edge” that compensates for you not meeting the list below.
A deep knowledge and interest in the field of Software Engineering, having at least eight years of experience
5+ years of experience writing full stack applications using Node.js and Next.js/React backed by MongoDB (or similar technologies on the front- or backend)
Experience in assuring quality using automated tests, across the entire scale from unit-level up to e2e-level with browser automation
Analytical skills to figure out the best way forward, as well as curiosity and inquisitiveness to find the different alternatives
Permanent work permit in EU and proven experience working in EU-based teams
This position is based in our Malmö office; we expect you to be at the office at least 2-3 days per week. This means you either live in the area or are interested in moving here.
